MICHEL GRAVEL, Executive Director of the Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) and the Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators (CCMTA) and Secretary to the Council of Deputy Ministers and the Council of Ministers Responsible for Transportation and Highway Safety, will be our guest speaker.

The title of his presentation is: “Transportation Association of Canada - Canada's Toolbox for Addressing Current and Emerging Transportation Infrastructure and Planning Issues”.

The presentation will cover TAC's origins back to 1914 and its enviable history of dealing with transportation infrastructure and planning issues. TAC has moved away from being a road-based organization during its infancy, taking on a more multi-modal focus over the years and today, the organization is a vibrant neutral forum dealing with road-based infrastructure issues and linkages with other modes, as well as the full spectrum of issues facing urban areas in Canada. Michel will conclude his talk with some insights into the major issues and future challenges facing the transportation industry in Canada.
