Tuesday June 23rd -- Special Meeting -- GO Transit Willowbrook Maintenance Facility
One of the foremost maintenance facilities for commuter rail rolling stock in North America, Willowbrook is immense. It features miles of rail tracks & GO train storage, fueling, interior heavy locomotive maintenance & progressive train maintenance & washing facilities. It is located between Islington & Kipling Ave, south of the QEW. Get a behind the scenes view of the daily operation that supports & empowers GO to move 55 Million annual riders. The special tour will be on Tuesday June 23, commencing @ 11:45am and concluding no later than 2:30pm. Lunch will be provided. GO train users can catch a ride on a Lakeshore West train from Union @ 11:43am to Mimico GO station or you may choose to drive. The tour will wrap up between 2 & 2:30 pm.
