Managing Congestion in Toronto with Stephen Buckley, General Manager, Transportation Services, City of Toronto
Over the past year, the Transportation Services Division in the City of Toronto has made significant headway in advancing programs, projects and initiatives to better manage congestion. The City has accelerated its corridor timing program, implemented higher peak hour fines, and is currently conducting a package delivery loading zone pilot. The City also completed two plans that set a short and mid-term direction for managing congestion -- the Downtown Transportation Operations Study and Congestion Management Plan. Stephen will provide an overview of each of the plans and talk about the Division's vision for addressing the City's congestion challenges.
