Lindsay will provide an overview and status update on two exciting projects emerging from the City of Toronto.

Automated Shuttle Trial: The City, in partnership with TTC and Metrolinx, will be testing the ability of an electric, driverless vehicle to fill a first-mile, last-mile gap in the transit network. The shuttle will be trialled in the West Rouge neighbourhood and connect to the Rouge Hill GO Station. On October 14, the City announced that it has developed an agreement with Local Motors, after a competitive selection process, to deliver the trial using an Olli 2.0 vehicle.

Transportation Innovation Zones: The City will be facilitating trials of promising transportation technologies and approaches at Exhibition Place starting in 2021. A framework for the program is currently under development.
