With many governments revisiting their transit plans and looking for ways to move more people, more often, Bus Rapid Transit systems are becoming increasing popular across the globe. Although seemingly more simplistic than other forms of higher order transit like LRT or Subways, BRTs face similar challenges throughout the project lifecycle that owners, consultants and constructors must be mindful of when they embark this journey.
This presentation will include a wide-ranging discussion on the common (and not so common) issues planners, designers and constructors face when attempting to deliver these types of infrastructure projects. Kris will also discuss current trends within the industry and lessons learned from past projects.
